Easingwold Hawks registered their first win of the season on Sunday morning against Rawcliffe in the York City Youth Cup.
The Hawks dominated the game and it was easily their best performance of the season beating Rawcliffe comprehensively with a 4-0 scoreline.
Easingwold were on it from the off, with early pressure causing some great saves from Rawcliffe’s keeper.
Rawcliffe grew into the first half and had a couple of goal mouth scrambles but unable to put it past Rory in goal who stood strong.
Easingwold’s midfield maestro Elsie dominated the middle of the park and had a wonderful shot tipped over Rawcliffe’s bar.
Despite a number of great efforts from both teams, it remained goalless at half time.
It was Rawcliffe who started the brighter in the second half with some good passing and possession football.
The Hawks soon sprung into action with three consecutive shots by Rhys and Will, but couldn’t beat Rawcliffe’s keeper..
