Easingwold 1st XI (10) 149-3 (R Taylor 32, J Wright 55*) beat Sheriff Hutton Bridge (0) 146 all out (T Quinn 5-35) by 7 wickets.
Going into the final weekend of the season, the equation for Easingwold was simple, claim 4 points from the match, and the title was secured, but any slip up would open the door for both Whitkirk and Carlton Towers in second and third place, to take the crown.
For Easingwold it was just the short trip to Sheriff Hutton Bridge, and despite it being a scorching hot day, the wicket looked like it would assist the seam bowlers, and as a result upon winning the toss, Tom Wilson decided to bowl first.
