Easingwold Wanderers Walking Football ...

Have you heard about walking football? Did you realize there are now over 1,200 clubs in the UK with over 40 thousand regular players, and Easingwold Wanderers is one of those clubs!

The main aim of our group has the health and wellbeing of the over fifties as a key objective. We are only attempting to help people to become more active and socialize using football as the catalyst.

As the name suggests, we walk, there is no physical contact allowed but it still makes for some fun and competitive games.

Our first ‘kick off’ was just over eight years ago when the original group of only five players started our mini-kickabouts at the Galtres Centre.

The group has grown from its original five members to over thirty-six mixed ability players, all aged from fifty up to seventy-five years young..
