District Explorer Scouts “Leading” the way...

On Saturday, 5th October, a group of eight explorer scouts from the Galtres District completed their essential training—the first part of their Young Leaders Award.

Many of these Scouts are already involved in one of the three Scouts groups in the District. These members assist adult leaders with running games, supervise activities and ensure the younger members in the Beavers and Cubs get the best possible scouting experience.

Over the coming year, these Young Leaders will work towards completing four “missions” which will ultimately result in receiving their “Young Leader” Award and contribute towards their Platinum Chief Scout Award.
