District Explorer Scouts “Leading” the way...

On Saturday 5th Oct. a group of 8 Explorer Scouts from the Galtres District completed their essential training which is the first part of their Young Leaders Award.

Many of these Scouts are already involved in one of the 3 Scouts groups in the District, assisting the adult leaders with running games, supervising activities and ensuring the younger members in the Beavers and Cubs get the best possible scouting experience.

Over the coming year, these Young Leaders will work towards completing 4 “Missions” which will ultimately result in them being presented with their “Young Leader” Award and will also go towards elements of their Platinum Chief Scout Award.
