The Yorkshire County Cricket Club (CCC) Academy coach reflected on the Academy’s recent win in the National U18 County Cup Final, with Jack Redshaw playing in his last Yorkshire game. After 10 years with the club, Redshaw was told in early August that, unfortunately, he would not be offered a professional contract. Redshaw still played beautifully, scoring a magnificent 103 runs, seeing Yorkshire win by 45 runs.

Despite not receiving a spot on a professional team in the United Kingdom, he will spend the winter playing for a club in Melbourne.

Upon his return, Redshaw hopes to get some trials with other counties. Since the innings in the final, he has received interest from Warwickshire, Leicester and Glamorgan. The Yorkshire CCC hopes he will get a chance with one of them or another county!
