Volunteers in Easingwold have raised £700 for Yorkshire Cancer Research after hosting a cake and produce stall.
The sale was hosted by members of the charity’s Galtres Volunteer Group, and sold a variety of baked goods, pastries, jams, plants, and vegetables.
Wendy Stirke, Chair of the volunteer group, said: “We are very grateful to all those who supported the stall and the charity, the amount we’ve raised is magnificent and will go towards funding cancer research in our area.”
The money raised will help fund life-saving research in Yorkshire as well as services like Active Together, a pioneering exercise programme which offers people with cancer tailored fitness, nutrition and wellbeing support.
