The Snow lasted at least 3 hours ...

Saturday 30th November, 2024

Finally the weather forecasters were actually bang on with their prediction for Saturday's weather.

Cold -1ºC (30ºF) and then snow before rain and rising temperatures obliterated all that remained of the snow. It almost played out perfectly according to the prediction with temperatures topping out at 13ºC (55ºF) a very British weather day.

In Easingwold and District the snow first thing caused one or two problems on the roads with cars being abandoned on various banks and hills across the area with a few minor accidents as motorists panicked in the slippery conditions.

By lunch time the snow had all but disappeared with the temperatures soring to 13ºC it was almost t-shirt time after the bitter cold of last week.
