Alne WI November Report ...

Alne WI really is the gift that keeps on giving and last Wednesday's Alne WI meeting was a prime example.

As it was our annual AGM, the evening started with a rendition, in our own inimitable style, of Jerusalem - only sung for hi days and holidays, after which the AGM commenced with a vote for a new President.

Di Hunter was elected and a huge vote of thanks went to our outgoing President Joan Baram, whose tireless work over the years has got us to the magnificent number of members we now boast, which have doubled over the past 3 years alone.

Once the financial and secretarial reports had been given, along with news about the brilliant events we have held throughout the year and news about forthcoming events, Debbie Bell talked about our gardening group, Gillian Carter gave a report on the WI's Federation Autumn Council Meeting.

Following a few other items, we then we enjoyed the amazing and gigantic raffle that Joan had spent many months preparing.
