A busy week for Easingwold Scouts ...

Saturday 16th November, 2024

As always, Easingwold Scouts have had a packed programme. During this week’s meeting, the Scouts spent an evening learning essential emergency first aid, including CPR and the recovery position.

The Scouts really enjoyed singing “Staying Alive” to help them with the CPR rhythm and the volunteer leaders were really pleased to be able to pass on their skills.

Whilst we hope that they never need to use it, they all now have the confidence to try and help someone in need.

At the end of the meeting, we were proud to be joined by the District Commissioner, Kevin Wilson, to award two of our older Scouts with the highest award available to this age range, the Chief Scout Gold Award.

This is the culmination of their four years before moving on to the next stage of Scouting and it really shows their commitment to all the Scouting activities.

The Scouts then also joined with the Beavers and Cubs from 1st Easingwold as well as the District Explorer Scouts to be part of the Remembrance Parade on Sunday morning.
