Superb poppy display at Newton-on-Ouse

A wonderful display of poppies adorns the Lych Gate at All Saints Church, Newton-on-Ouse this Remembrance weekend.

This is a real community effort, as many of the poppies were made by pupils at Linton-on-Ouse Primary School, Linton Craft Club,and numerous individuals who knitted, crocheted, or painted poppies.

Members of the community also sponsored poppies. Come and see this superb display, mounted by Lindsay Magill of Little Bear and Bird Florist in Haxby, in collaboration with the church.
