The Easingwold Advertiser & Weekly News is a family-owned paper for Easingwold and the surrounding area
All the way from Sutton-on-the-Forest, Michael Kitchen gave the Easingwold Camera Club a presentation on his 25 years of photography.
He presented shots from organised trips abroad, ranging from digitised analogue images taken in Peru and Bolivia to digital images of Greenland and Japan.
Flying into Lima airport, Kitchen travelled in a well-worn minibus. The bus journeyed along a single-track road that was cut into a near-vertical rock face, negotiating oncoming traffic.
This trek didn’t inspire some of his fellow passengers, who insisted on sitting on the side closest to the rock face. What they didn’t realise is that they missed the view of a several hundred-metre drop!
