GEORGE GRAINGER TRIPLES ...

The George Grainger Triples is one of Easingwold Bowling Club’s annual triples competitions. It has been a fixture in the club’s calendar since 1986 in memory of George Grainger, a former president and benefactor.

On Sunday, 25th May, 25 club members took part in this event. Participants were split into eight teams and played four 40 minute matches each.

The weather stayed fine for the triples bowling. It was sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy, but there was a consistent, strong wind to contend with.

After a total of 160 minutes of bowling, the triple skippered by Roger Green was victorious. He finished with eight points, narrowly beating Pete Snowden’s triple with seven points.
