A new wildflower woodland is being planted in Shipton-by-Beningbrough, with funding help from the Friends of St Monica’s Hospital (FOSMH).
The three acre site is a community venture and is designed to contribute to well-being and positive mental health. It is also a continuing asset to local ecology and the environment.
Peter Berry, from FOSMH, said “Promoting good health can be done in many ways and, in this case, we are literally helping to sow seeds for generations now and to come.”
“Large numbers of Shipton residents use surgeries in the area we support and we are pleased to give practical backing to this local innovative scheme".
