Easingwold Running Club...

The nights are slowly getting lighter, and the weather is increasingly starting to feel like the summer. Or to be more accurate, exactly what we expect of the summer, shorts in the morning, winter thermals in the afternoon.

So, what does that mean to Easingwold Running Club? Well firstly, it signals that we’re getting very close to the end of winter training sessions.

Gone are the hill reps, sprints, and head torches, it’s time to put the miles to good use and explore the wonderful countryside and surrounding villages around us.

It also means the start of race season. Races are coming thick and fast, providing the chance for club members to compete against each other, other local clubs and not forgetting themselves.

26th April saw the first event of the York District Road Race League, a series of weeknight evening races across the surrounding York area. Race 1 was held in Pocklington, with our members taking on the 10km road race...
