Easingwold Scouts Hit the Slopes for Snow Sports Badge Achievement ...

The weekend of March 15th, 65 members of the 1st Easingwold Beaver, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers headed to Xscape Yorkshire in Castleford. The group enjoyed a thrilling 90-minute ski experience where they had the opportunity to complete their level 1 snowsports badge.

This special event was made possible by a unique partnership with Snozone which offered an exclusive discount for Scouts, significantly reducing the usual lesson costs.

After a fun and educational session on the slopes, participants were assessed and celebrated for their efforts, with badges and special achievement medals awarded. It was a day full of excitement, learning, and camaraderie.

The cost for Scouts to participate was £29.99 including a well deserved hot chocolate and a cookie. Thanks to the generosity of the Easingwold Scouts Charity, however, the price was subsidised to just £19.99 per child.

This reduction was made possible by the ongoing support of dedicated volunteers, fundraisers, trustees, and everyone who hires the Scout hut or attends the Millfields Fireworks event.
