Crayke C of E Primary School World Book Day ...

Crayke Church of England Primary School celebrated World Book Day 2025 with the theme, “Wonderful Words”. Teachers were extremely impressed with the students’ imaginative and ambitious vocabulary choices on display!

The children have been buzzing with ideas about their choice of words. This display has certainly helped expand their vocabulary; from the ‘elegant’ Mrs Bacon, to the ‘protagonist’ Percy.

Dylan in Oak Class also introduced Brooke to the longest word in the dictionary: ‘pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis’.

This impressive word refers to a lung disease caused by breathing in volcanic silicone!
