The Easingwold Advertiser & Weekly News is a family-owned paper for Easingwold and the surrounding area
The Galtres Committee for Yorkshire Cancer Research was formed by a group of ladies from Easingwold and surrounding areas on April 10, 1973.
Since that time, the committee has raised almost half a million pounds—an astonishing amount of money.
The Galtres Committee started off the year's celebrations with a brilliant musical evening performed by the Shepherd Group Brass in the Galtres Centre.
The venue was full and the evening was enjoyed by all. This cancer research fundraising event raised £2,030.50—a fantastic result. By popular demand, we hope to repeat this event at the same time and place next year.
