The Easingwold Advertiser & Weekly News is a family-owned paper for Easingwold and the surrounding area
The Galtres Committee for Yorkshire Cancer Research was formed by a group of ladies from Easingwold and surrounding areas on 10th April 1973.
The committee has been functioning since then and in that time has raised just short of half a million pounds, which is quite an astonishing amount of money.
The Galtres Committee started off the years celebrations with a brilliant musical evening performed by the Shepherd Group Brass in the Galtres Centre.
The venue was full and the evening enjoyed by all. We raised £2030.50, which was a fantastic result.
By popular demand we will hopefully be repeating this event same time same place next year.
