The Easingwold Advertiser & Weekly News is a family-owned paper for Easingwold and the surrounding area
Last November, the Oulston Parish Meeting decided that work needed to be done on the village green. A plan was put into action to lift the crowns of a beech tree and lime tree and repair or replace the wooden seat that surrounds the beech tree.
Fortuitously, The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), a national charity, approached the group shortly afterwards.
TCV employs a small team of permanent employees who help a wide range of volunteers to have the chance to work on conservation projects ranging from tree planting (they are fully booked on this task in March) to the repair of items found in the countryside.
