The Hollywood Sisters Dazzle at our Easingwold Summer of Music ...

Saturday 28th June, 2025

Easingwold – It may have been billed as the hottest day of the year, but it was the incredible vocals of The Hollywood Sisters that turned up the heat at Saturday’s Summer of Music performance in Easingwold Market Place.

The five talented women – four vocalists and their accompanist – delivered an unforgettable afternoon of music, charm, and vintage flair.

Performing to an enthusiastic crowd, The Hollywood Sisters captivated audiences with a delightful repertoire spanning decades, from the toe-tapping swing of the 1940s to soulful modern hits.

Highlights included nostalgic renditions of Andrews Sisters classics like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, followed by sparkling takes on 1950s favourites from The Chordettes (the girls just love the Chordettes!), including Carolina Moon, Sentimental Journey, and a crowd-pleasing bopping version of Lollipop.

Their seamless harmonies continued through the 60s with Stupid Cupid, Be My Baby, and Chapel of Love, culminating in a smooth, heartfelt version of Corinne Bailey Rae’s Put Your Records On.
