A wet and sunny summer weekend of Music...

Last weekends rather mixed weather experience had a significant effect on our Summer of Music, with the heavens opening only half an hour into Gary Stewarts long anticipated set on Saturday afternoon.

It just happened to be his birthday as well which was doubly disappointing both for himself but also his many fans who came along to see him.

Not to worry, there is always next year and at least he enjoyed a present of a “sold out” concert with his band Weetwood Mac in Ripley later that same evening.

Proving again that you don’t become a top musician without hard work!

However, a day is a long time in weather politics and Sunday heralded a better climate and the afternoon did not disappoint one iota.

Easingwold Town Band were there in our marketplace waiting to take good advantage of the opportunity given to it and so did the many people who were glad of some relief from the cold and damp.
