Wass Open Gardens is a popular annual event held Sunday 4th June to raised money for local charities. This year 11 gardens were open and there were various stalls to entertain visitors and the now famous Village Hall “Pop-up Café” serving sandwiches, cakes and scones was busy all day.
We have so much appreciation to everyone who turned out on 4th June 2023. This year’s Open Gardens raised money for 3 charities, Community Works Thirsk, Parkinson’s York and St Thomas Church, Wass.
A cheque was presented to Gill Burns of Community Works for £1,207 by “Open Gardeners” Millie Robinson and David Harker. David has a large garden with raised vegetable beds and Millie has a small, but perfectly formed cottage garden.
