Derrick Johnson Memorial Shield 2023 ...

An annual triples bowls match between Easingwold and Huby celebrated the life of Derrick Johnson. Played last Saturday (15th), the match resulted with the winners claiming the Derrick Johnson memorial shield.

Derrick was a greatly respected player by both clubs, and an amazing bowler.

Last year the inaugural match was held at Easingwold and fittingly won by his club. This year, it was Huby’s turn to host.

Bad weather had been predicted but to everyone’s surprise we were treated to a sunny afternoon playing 18 End.
