Alne Open Gardens afternoon Sunday 25th June ...

It turned out to be a very hot humid afternoon with the threat of a heavy shower lingering in the background for Alne Open Gardens this summer.

A dozen gardens were open around the village, with plenty of visitors turning out, despite the weather and the closed Aldwark Toll bridge.

Lots of positive feedback was received from people wandering around the varied gardens on offer.

The WI did a sterling job providing much needed teas and refreshments at the Village Hall.
