Busy Time for Easingwold Air Cadets...

The end of the year is a busy time in the Air Cadets calendar. The most important of all is the Sqn attendance at the Remembrance events in Easingwold and in York. On the evening of Friday 11th November the Sqn attended the York Normandy Veterans Remembrance Service held at St Lawrence Church, York. It was an honour to be invited and to attend.

After the service the cadets chatted with members of the congregation and had the privilege of talking to Mr Cook and to the Veteran families present.

The Banner Party and cadets of the Sqn were present at the Easingwold Remembrance Parade and their pride was evident in their marching and the wreath laying.

The cadets had been busy brushing up on their drill and marching skills for a Banner Party competition at the Central and East Yorkshire Wing held at RAF Leeming on 26th September, at which they came first out of 32 sqns in this wing. This achievement meant they would represent the Wing at a Regional competition held in Manchester at the beginning of November........
