ENGLISH NATIONAL BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS ...

A Silver and Gold win for our local badminton coach at the Masters Championships held in Hatfield last weekend.

Denis Cleary, who coaches at the Galtres Centre, played against experienced badminton players in his age group from all over England to reach a nail biting singles final to win Gold and become the National Champion 2024.

Denis also received a letter to represent England against Scotland in January. A worthy win!!

Following this success he teamed up with his doubles partner, Ron Mellor from Meltham, to reach the doubles final and after a fantastic performance came away with a Silver medal.
