SINGING FOR ALL WELCOMES PRIMARY SCHOOL VISITORS TO BUILD MUSICAL BRIDGES...

The Methodist Church lounge rang out with songs and laughter on Monday 12th December, as Singing For All welcomed a class of Year 6 children from Easingwold Community Primary School as part of the Musical Bridges with Singing For All project, funded by the Co-op community fund.

As well as singing festive songs together, the children and Singing For All folks enjoyed chatting about favourite Christmas songs and food, recalling Christmas memories and traditions, and comparing their wishes for 2023.

(The most common wishes were peace in the world, an end to war, and warm homes for everyone – these themes were common to all the age groups present.)

The Singing For All participants, who ranged in age from 40s to 90s, were delighted to welcome the young visitors and sing and chat together, and we found several festive songs that all ages were familiar with.......
