EASINGWOLD COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS FILLS THE GALTRES CENTRE WITH FESTIVE CHEER...

The festive season was kicked off in style on Saturday 3rd December by Jessa Liversidge and her singers at the annual feast of festive song, Easingwold Community Christmas.

Over 70 singers aged 6 to 95 gathered at Easingwold Galtres Centre together with a large, appreciative audience, to sing and enjoy seasonal songs old and new.

From bells and stars, angels and shepherds, to mince pies and hippos, there was something for everyone!

Local singer and singing leader Jessa sings with hundreds of people each week, spreading the joy and wellbeing benefits singing together can bring, and that feeling of togetherness was evident in the happy, positive atmosphere on Saturday.

20 members of the inclusive Singing For All group took part, giving the audience heartfelt renditions, including “Let it snow”, “Here we come a-wassailing”, and a special performance of “Catch a falling star” dedicated to our much missed singer Brian Whur, who was always such a presence at these concerts.......
