U11s Easingwold Hawks v Poppleton Tigers...

Despite the rain, the Easingwold Hawks started brightly, putting Poppleton Tigers immediately under pressure.

Seven minutes of play saw the first corner for Poppleton which was calmly defended and Easingwold broke giving Rhys a penetrating run which was well-saved.

The resulting corner to Easingwold led to an excellent strike from Tom, just over the crossbar.

From central defence, Tom was sending some nice passes for the Easingwold front line to run on to, stretching the Poppleton team who had to scramble twice to clear their goal area. With 15mins played, Easingwold were having the best chances including a free kick into the box which led to a chance for Sam, just hitting the post.

With tenacious work from Elsie and Christian in mid-field several corners followed, with Easingwold having shots but somehow Poppleton survived the pressure.......
