Huby & District Triples Bowls League...

Hutton-le-Hole hosted the Easingwold team at the district triples bowls league championships. To avoid the wooden spoon, standing champions, Easingwold, needed to score four points.

They came mighty close on two rinks, only losing 13-11 and 11-10. Easingwold was more comfortable on the other two with victories by 14-8 and 21-8.

Result: Hutton-le-Hole: 37 Shots, 0 Points; Easingwold: 59 Shots, 10 Points.

Malton travelled to Harome needing to gain nine points to finish third.

They had good wins on rinks one and four by 33-6 and 24-7 respectively, only for Harome to be victorious on rink two by 22-13 and rink four with a score of 15-8.

Result: Harome: 50 Shots, 4 Points; Malton: 78 Shots, 6 Points.
