Easingwold Take the Medals at the National Pickleball Championship...

Pickleball players from Easingwold, who play at the Galtres Centre, did great at the recent English Open Pickleball championship!

Held at Telford over 3 to 6 August with nearly 2,000 competitors from 44 countries playing on 45 indoor courts.

The tournament is split into age 10 year age bands to give young and the older players opportunities.

Art and Sue Severn won a gold medal (winning finalists) in the mixed doubles. Art also achieved gold in the men’s doubles.

Chrissie Payne and Jane Wilson won gold in the women’s doubles with Steve Dann and Pete Wilson winning silver (losing finalists) in the men’s doubles.

Easingwold picked up more medals than any other club. An excellent achievement.
