Former Easingwold School Pupil competed in the Ultimate Frisbee Club World Championships...

Ollie Tanner-Smith (22) of Easingwold competed in the USA with top northern team SMOG, competing in the Ultimate Frisbee (UF) Club World Championships in Cincinnati.

He started playing UF aged 16 with an actor friend from Gobbledigook Theatre. A player for a UF team in Twickenham, who recognized his potential; Ollie pursued his passion for the sport, at Lancaster University (as Captain). He is about to start a Masters in Finance and with YOPEN, the York UF team, he has also played cricket for Easingwold and Huby.

He started playing with SMOG in 2020 and last year was part of their mixed team who became National Champions thus qualifying for Worlds.

128 teams from 30 countries (3,021 players) competed in 659 games at the Lebanon Sports Centre over 8 days in 3 divisions – Mixed, Women and Open.

SMOG (current National champions) have 2 mixed teams there with players from all over the UK.
