Christians Together Around Easingwold have had a busy Holy Week culminating in the joy of the resurrection on Easter Day.
The different denominations of the Church had their own services during the week as we travelled with Jesus from Palm Sunday (when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey to show he would be a servant king) to Easter Day.
We came together on Good Friday around the cross, to remember that, in his love for us, Jesus died to enable us to draw closer to God, knowing that our sins are forgiven.
Then on Easter Day morning, bright and early, Christians gathered around the cross, now decorated with flowers, to share the joy of the resurrection.
The Light was taken from this service to each of the churches, representing the Light of Christ spreading throughout the town.
