FOREST OF GALTRES PRODUCE AND HANDICRAFT SHOW ...

There are 9 WI's in the Forest of Galtres Group of WI's and last Saturday, Sheriff Hutton Village Hall saw us showcase the wonderful talent we have within our groups and all members of the Forest of Galtres group participated to make it run smoothly.

The categories on show ranged from baking, preserves, floral displays, handicrafts, photography and art and it was a wonderful treat to see it all.

Skelton WI was the overall winner, with Alne WI coming a close second. Best in show was won by Marion Movely from Easingwold WI and Alne WI was thrilled that Gillian Carter got a special mention and a highly recommended for her beautifully decorated wrapped parcel, only missing best in show by a whisker.

Di Hunter, Alne's President announced all the winners and Sarah McFarlane, out going Chair of the North East Yorkshire National Federation presented the prizes.
